This Thursday, PhilaMOCA will host a screening of Werewolves Across America, a documentary from Pulse Films that follows the perpetually roving folk icon Brendon Massei, aka Viking Moses, as he travels his way across America one impromptu basement (or living room, church, union hall) concert at a time. A film for music and counter-culture enthusiasts alike, Werewolves Across America features performances and appearances by John from Deer Tick, Phosphorescent, and The Shivers.
Following the feature presentation will be a live performance and Q&A session with the legend himself, Viking Moses.

WEREWOLVES ACROSS AMERICA
What happens when you decide to opt out of the American Dream? Werewolves across America is a portrait of modern youth culture. The film stars nomadic folk icon Viking Moses who guides us through the world of the US DIY music scene. With him we meet a variety of characters – a young Lutheran priest, a Manhattan real estate agent and an ex-drug addict from Florida. All have chosen to reject the American Dream in search of something else – but what are they seeking and at what cost? Through the rich and ignored musical culture of DIY the film explores what it is like to live on the fringes of society in modern America. The film features performances from Deer Tick, The Shivers and Phosphorescent.
