MAR 27: This week in Philly repertory film

THU March 31, 2011
Riverview Plaza + Rave U. City 6, 7:00 PM
My Run (2009)

Dir. Tim VandeSteeg, US, digital
One-night-only screening of an inspirational documentary that follows superheroic 57 year old Terry Hitchcock as he runs 75 consecutive marathons in 75 consecutive days in the wake of his wife’s death.  Narrated by Billy Bob Thornton.

Additional screenings of note:
It’s a genre-heavy week:  See if Run Lola Run holds up in glorious 35mm (MON, 7:30 PM, County Theater); grab some free drinks and snacks prior to a free public screening of the premiere of Starz’s new series Camelot (TUE, 7:00 PM, Ritz East); help raise money for the Penn Jersey Roller Derby with a screening of Drew Barrymore’s Whip It (TUE, 8:30 PM, Trocadero); someone out there is excited to see The Terminator on the big screen (FRI, 9:45 PM, Colonial Theatre); revel in the gory Japanese wackiness that is the aptly titled Alien vs. Ninja (SAT, Midnight, Trocadero).
