Mysteries of Lisbon (Ritz at the Bourse) The must-see film at the moment is this 256 minute adaptation of a 19th century Portuguese novel.  We’ll be at the first screening on Friday, come join us.

Higher Ground (Ritz Five) Actress Vera Farmiga directs and stars in this faith-based indie drama.

Gun Hill Road (Ritz at the Bourse) Family indie drama about a traditionally-minded father who is released from prison to find his family in a chaos he cannot comprehend.

Bellflower (Ritz at the Bourse) Visually inventive high-concept relationship drama for the modern hipster set.

I Don’t Know How She Does It (wide) And I’ll never know.

Straw Dogs (wide) It’s best to just ignore it.

  1. Mysteries of Lisbon was my #1 film of the year so far, though now I may need another viewing of both MoL and Drive to figure out which wins out.
