Jay Schwartz and his Secret Cinema continue to make us proud to be Philadelphia-based film lovers with a three night series of film (never video) screenings set on the rooftop deck of West Philly’s Institute of Contemporary Art. First up on Wednesday July 13 at 9:00 PM is SUMMER MEANS FUN!, a collection of vintage shorts focusing on recreational sports. Wednesday July 27’s ART FOR ART’S SAKE concerns modern artists as well as art-themed educational shorts (9:00 PM). SISTER RAY SLAM, the series’ FREE finale, will be happening on Wednesday August 3 at 8:00 PM and will feature rare Warhol shorts as well as live bands performing renditions of the Velvet Underground’s “Sister Ray” record. See you there.
