It was announced that Warner Brothers acquired the home video rights to Paramount’s Friday the 13th films (this comprises 1-8). This acquisition sparked rumblings of new Blu-Ray discs with tons of features. Let’s hope for the best.

Bloody Disgusting reports that photographer Tyler Shields is in pre-production on Final Girl. Dig the synopsis: Loner Veronica is new to school, shy and vulnerable the perfect target for a group of teenage boys who lure girls into the woods to hunt and kill them for sport. It’s only after they get her alone that she turns the tables on them, escaping and revealing she’s armed and knows how to defend herself. Little do they know, Veronica is an assassin-in-training, and she’s chosen killing these boys as her final test. When the dust clears, Veronica will find out if she can be the final girl these boys ever have a chance to hurt.

Not exactly horror, but I’m posting it anyway. Big Trouble in Little China fans should take a look at this ridiculous parody of “Gangnam Style”, David Lo Pan Style!

This trailer for the new Evil Dead looks pretty friggin’ cool. It has all the right imagery in it (tree rape, self-mutilation, malevolent cinematographers) plus some new stuff (check out that knife licking scene!). I’m officially excited!

Bloody Disgusting interviewed Selma Blair on uncomfortable moments in her upcoming film, In Their Skin, and also touched on Hellboy 3.

30 Nights of Paranormal Activity with the Devil Inside the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. *sigh* (Dread Central)

The Walking Dead is the number 1 show on television! Regardless of your feelings for the show, if you’re a horror fan, you should celebrate. This is one scored for the good guys. Or the bad guys. Or whatever you prefer. Zombies? (Deadline)

Check out the teaser for Doc of the Dead, a film that promises to be the definitive documentary on zombies! (Dread Central)
