Joel Hodgson: Riffing Myself at the Colonial Theatre

joel-riffing-myselfMystery Science Theater 3000 creator Joel Hodgson will return to Phoenixville’s Colonial Theatre on Saturday, December 22 to present his one-man keynote address, Riffing Myself.  The address will be followed by a screening of the MST3K episode Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.

Joel will survey his lifelong endeavors to entertain people in new and inventive ways, and how those efforts, along with a host of diverse influences, led to the invention of the comedic art form of movie riffing. The presentation will also feature photos, videos, documents and notebook pages from Joel’s personal collection, illustrating some rarely seen projects and the creative process that helps brings them to fruition.  A question and answer session will follow. After the presentation there will be a brief intermission followed by a screening of one of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians.
