Introducing Philadelphia’s Awesome Fest

Josh Goldbloom, former artistic director of Cinefest, and Jared Miller, former Membership Coordinator for the Philadelphia Film Society, have teamed up for the Northern Liberties Piazza-based Awesome Fest.  The festival is a weekly series of independent film screenings that are currently scheduled to run through August, many of which feature in-person appearances by the filmmakers.  The program consists of everything from a documentary on a Finnish drug addict to a repeat area screening of the darkly comedic superhero bomb Super.  Check out the schedule here.
