International House to host Philadelphia Premiere of Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles

International House will be hosting the Philadelphia Premiere of local documentary Resurrect Dead: The Mystery of the Toynbee Tiles.  It was a huge hit at Sundance and is highly anticipated here in the city whose streets are littered with the Kubrick-inspired tablets (but for how long now that the secret is out?).  Director Jon Foy, cast, and crew will be present at all five screenings, which will also feature “live music, tile-making demonstrations, photography exhibitions and more.”  Screening schedule:

Thursday, September 8 at 7pm; Saturday, September 10 at 7pm; Saturday, September 10 at 9:30pm; Sunday, September 11 at 7pm; Monday, September 12, 7pm

Tickets are on sale now.

  1. Thought it was worth mentioning, the film is actually already on itunes. So if seeing the director in person or the film on the big screen don’t matter, it’s already available to watch.

  2. Wow, this is pretty amazing. Had no idea something like this was in the works, let alone released. Mad props to everyone involved. I wrote an “article” a while back on this for a friend’s senior project at Drexel University. This should be a good watch.
