On Friday, July 19, the Secret Cinema will team up once again with the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania to present their Annual Summer Movie Party, featuring food, film and fun! This year’s feature is Hollywood Party, a fun-filled, zany all-star comedy musical extravaganza whose cast includes the likes of Laurel & Hardy, The Three Stooges, Jimmy Durante, Robert Young, and Lupe Velez. And as always, the film will be shown in 16mm!
The feature will be introduced by film historian Richard Barrios (author of A Song in the Dark: The Birth of the Musical Film, and Screened Out: Playing Gay in Hollywood from Edison to Stonewall). The film program will also include vintage short films. This year’s party will be held at The William Way Center. Food and drink will be supplied and is included with admission.
