EMPLOYMENT: Hiway Theatre seeks Assistant Manager

We’re always happy to lend a hand sustaining the Philadelphia area’s historic film venues, here’s your chance to lend a hand and make some money in the process…

The Hiway Theatre in Jenkintown is currently seeking an Assistant Manager/Projectionist.  This is a part-time position for Sundays and a weekday/evening that averages 16 to 22 hours per week at 13.00 per hour.  Additional hours and days per week are required to cover vacation/ personal days of General Manager.  Must also be available some additional evenings, weekend days/evenings and some holidays.

Responsibilities
Operate 35mm and digital projectors
Assist service staff with the selling of tickets, concessions and merchandise
Answer and assist with telephone inquiries
Help sell and process theatre memberships
Do close out paperwork
Assist with cleaning theatre between shows
Fully clean theatre, lobby and restrooms at end of evening

Qualifications
Must be able to operate 35 mm projector and platter system, including maintenance, troubleshooting and make up and break down of 35 mm prints
Have outstanding customer service skills
Be able to work with and motivate paid service staff and volunteer ticket takers
Knowledge of POS ticketing/concession sales systems
Knowledge of Windows Office Systems
Able to lift 50 pounds
Accuracy with paperwork and handling funds and deposits
