CONTEST: Hit & Run advance screening

We’re handling an Awesome Fest-exclusive advance screening of Hit & Run, which means that we need to fill up an entire theater at the Ritz East, let’s go! The screening, which will be the area’s first, is on Wednesday, July 11 at 7:30 PM at the Ritz East. To enter, just e-mail us with the name of your favorite car chase film (or film with a car chase in it). We’ll choose winners at random and everyone will receive an e-mail confirmation as the date draws closer.

Synopsis:
Former getaway driver Charlie Bronson jeopardizes his Witness Protection Plan identity in order to help his girlfriend get to Los Angeles. The feds and Charlie’s former gang chase them on the road. The film is written and co-directed by its star, comedian Dax Shepard, and also stars Kristen Bell, Tom Arnold, and Jenkintown’s own Bradley Cooper.

Hit & Run opens in Philly-area theaters on August 24.

 11. Hey I have a question on the screening itself, and it may be best to answer me via email if you actually read this: is Dax Shepard and/or Kristen Bell gonna be at the screening for a Q&A after? I speculate this because they’ve been at every single screening of this film when it’s been screened in other places around the country.

 12. Ronin! Awesome car chase scene!

 13. Duel is a 1971 television (and later full-length theatrical) film starring Dennis Weaver, who plays a terrified motorist stalked on a remote and lonely road by the unseen driver of a mysterious tanker truck. It was written by Richard Matheson, based on his own short story, and directed by Steven Spielberg in his feature film directing debut.
