All of our regular staff members (plus a few extra) compiled and submitted their personal top 10 lists, sharing the films that they loved most in 2017. Over our 9 lists, we celebrated over 50 films from 2017, which I believe shows the breadth and depth of film in 2017.
Even among our diverse lists, there were a few films that connected across all of our staff. Here are our top six films, with the number of lists they appeared on (ties listed alphabetically):
- Blade Runner: 2049 (7)
- The Florida Project (5)
- Brawl in Cell Block 99 (4)
- Dunkirk (4)

- Star Wars: The last Jedi (4)
Nine other films that appeared on multiple lists: Call Me By Your Name, Colossal, Columbus, Get Out, Good Time, Lady Bird, I, Tonya, Okja, Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World
