We are excited to announce the first wave of programming for this year’s Cinedelphia Film Festival! The CFF will run from April 9 – 25 at PhilaMOCA and is loosely based around the theme of the “outsider”: untrained filmmakers, special interest archivists, and those who simply refuse to play by Hollywood’s rules. As always, it’s an eclectic and highly entertaining lineup of film programming that you won’t find anywhere else in the Delaware Valley.
Thursday, April 9, 7:30 PM @ PhilaMOCA
A special work in progress screening of locally produced documentary VIETNAM APPRECIATION DAY, a heartfelt and often hilarious look at Philadelphia-area Vietnam War reenactors. The film’s subjects and crew will be in attendance and there will be a live post-screening USO show!
Saturday, April 11, 7:30 PM @ PhilaMOCA
A 10th Anniversary Celebration of local documentary ROCK SCHOOL with director Don Argott and subjects in attendance plus post-screening live performances from School of Rock students and alumni!
Thursday, April 16, 7:00 PM @ PhilaMOCA
The Academy of Natural Sciences’ popular Mega-Bad Movie Night movie mockery series heads to PhilaMOCA for a screening of MEGA SHARK VERSUS GIANT OCTOPUS! Plus a post-screening “killer animal” themed installment of the movie comedy game show Movie Movie Live!
Friday, April 17, 7:30 PM @ PhilaMOCA
33 years in the making, the CFF is proud to host the Philly Premiere of the brand new complete cut of the greatest fan film ever made, RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK: THE ADAPTATION! Director/star Chris Strompolos in attendance! Co-presented by Geekadelphia.
This year’s pre-festival events include a free CFF Preview Night at PhilaMOCA (WED 4/1), a special live Video Pirates program at S. Philly coffee/video rental shop Cinemug (FRI 4/3), and a Bleeding Skull Video! VHS marathon at Ardmore’s Viva Video (SAT 4/4)!
Full schedule will be announced soon.
