Actorfest heads to Philadelphia

The first Actorfest of 2012 will be taking place at the Philadelphia Sound Stages on Saturday, May 5 from 9am – 6pm.  Produced by Back Stage, a 50-year-old publication servicing the performing arts community, Actorfest will provide actors, actresses, singers, dancers and performing artists the unique opportunity to embrace free-flowing and honest advice from agents, casting directors and successful actors/actresses.  Performers take part in workshops, show off their talent, and listen to experienced veterans in the talent business who assist them in either breaking into the business or enhancing their career.

Actorfest has an exhibit hall with over 50 exhibitors offering the performer various vendor services geared to the performer and his or her craft.

The event includes the exhibit hall that features over 50 exhibitors offering services geared towards performers, live castings opportunities with major networks (this year’s participants are NBC and MTV), educational workshops, and a chance to submit head-shots and resumes to A-list casting directors and talent agents via meet and greet sessions.
